Lahar is a 2024 Lacryma Christi DOC red wine produced by De Falco Vini in the Naples area.

Varietal: 100% Piedirosso

Organoleptic characteristics: Intense ruby red color with violet hues. The nose has hints of ripe red fruit, cherry, plum, spices and mineral notes. The palate is dry, warm, with good structure and soft tannins.

Recommended pairings: Pastas or polenta with meat sauces, roasts, game, spicy cheeses.

Lavorazione: Hand-picked in boxes from selected vineyards located on the slopes of Vesuvius. The harvest is delayed until the second half of October to allow the grapes to ripen more fully in terms of color and concentration. Management of maceration with a short cold passage to obtain more extracts and aromas and then, again cold controlled, in steel tanks until final maturation. Once fermentation is finished, the wine rests for 6 months in second-passage barriques to give elegance, silkiness and smoothness. Main characteristics are the balance between freshness, minerality and sapidity. Excellent structure and persistence.
