Taurasia is a 2024 Taurasi DOCG red wine produced by De Falco Vini in the Avellino area.

Varietal: 100% Aglianico

Sensory characteristics: Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is complex with hints of ripe red fruit, jam, spices, tobacco, licorice and balsamic notes. The palate is dry, warm, structured, with well-integrated elegant tannins, long and persistent.

Recommended pairings: First courses with meat sauce, feather game casserole, roasted red meats, aged hard cheeses.

Lavorazione: 100% Aglianico harvested by hand in boxes in the first decade of November. Management of maceration with a short cold passage to obtain more extracts and aromas and then controlled always cold in steel tanks until final maturation. Once fermentation is finished, the wine rests for 36 months in new barriques to give structure and complexity. The wine is well balanced, structured with persistent tannins, long in the mouth with a smoky and spicy aftertaste.
