Description

Ikon is a 2024 Lacryma Christi DOC white wine produced by De Falco Vini in the Naples area.

Varietal: 100% Caprettone

Organoleptic characteristics: Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is intense with hints of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, white flowers and mineral notes typical of the volcanic terroir. On the palate it is fresh, savory, balanced, with good persistence.

Suggested pairings: seafood as well as land-based appetizers and first courses, seafood salads; first course fish and shellfish dishes; main courses: grilled squid, octopus and baked white fish

Informazioni Aggiuntive

Lavorazione: Hand-picked in boxes from selected vineyards located on the slopes of Vesuvius. Harvesting is delayed until the first decade of October to allow the grapes to ripen more fully in terms of color and concentration. Pressing suspended in cold press for 1 hour to obtain more extracts and aromas. Soft pressing and controlled cold fermentation in steel tanks. Once fermentation is finished, the wine rests for 6 months on fine lees using the batonnage technique. Maturation for 5 months in steel tanks until final filtration and bottling. Main characteristics are structure, extreme minerality and long sapidity.
